Georgia joined the Community Justice Centre as a mediator in 2002.  Since this time she has conducted over 200 mediations and helped many people to resolve their disputes.

Her mediation skills, professionalism, commitment to CJC and her warm, caring attitude made Georgia an outstanding mediator.

Her friends and colleagues from CJC send their condolences to Georgia`s family.  We will miss her very much.

Lynn Davie, CJC Staff & Practice Manager.

We both worked with Georgia on many mediations, and also had many social get togethers with her.

At all events she and Carl were happy and wonderful company.

She always carried herself with beauty and dignity, and we admired her courage during her illness.

Anytime we needed her `expertise` on any problems, Georgia was alway willing to help, no matter the time and place we spoke.   Her professionalism and personality made her a great work colleague.

We will miss her and offer our warmest, heartfelt sympathies to Carl, and her family at this very sad time.

I co-mediated with Georgia on a number of occasions on behalf of the Legal Aid Commission and I enjoyed chatting with her over the years. I`m sad that she is no longer with us and grateful that she is now at peace. My condolences to all of her family and loved ones.  Michelle de Vries, Mediator.

I would like to say that anyone who met Georgia could not help but be impressed by her - especially her wonderful courage to tackle anything with such wonderful grace.

Katherine Johnson.

Georgia was a close and a valued friend who I met and known for many years.  We mediated many disputes together and delivered workshops and talks too.  Greorgia was always pleasant, easy, cheerful, caring, passionate, always with great smile and very positive about life and all that mattered.  Georgia was simply a ‘human’ with all that represents.

Georgia, we will sadly miss you and I have lost a great friend who I respected, valued and admired.  You will always be around and your smile will always be remembered.

Rest in peace my friend and God Bless

Abe Quadan

I knew Georgia as a mediator colleague and as a solicitor involved in a number of mediations she conducted for Legal Aid NSW. Georgia told me that when she saw that I was the lawyer involved in one of her mediations, she was happy and I told her that I felt the same when I learned that she was the mediator in one of my matters.

I respected Georgia as a very competent and professional mediator.

When she arrived at a mediation she always brought biscuits; some delicacy from a patisserie and we always enjoyed having a cuppa and a biscuit and a chat.

We were often at mediator training sessions together  and I last saw her just before Christmas 2010 at one held at the Sydney office of Legal Aid NSW. She spoke to me of having tremendous support from her all family and friends.

I considered Georgia a friend. She was generous in nature and spirit. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, unfailing optimism and courage.

My sympathies go out to her husband, mother, father, sister and all her extended family.

Donna Strong

To all those of you who have added your tributes to Georgia on this page, a heartfelt thankyou. She was a person of great warmth, generosity, intelligence and character - it was a great privilege to be able to share my life with her, it is just so sad that it was cut short. We should have had the rest of our lives together. It is incredibly hard without her, to know that I will never again see her face and hear her voice and her laugh is like having to face the prospect of the sun never coming up again. My only consolations are the memories of the many happy times we had together and the knowledge that wherever she is, it is a place beyond pain and fear and the medical indignities that she had to endure. Farewell for now my darling baby Georgia, we will be together again one day. You are the love of my life and always will be.    Karl
